Netflix Chooses Spot-On Star for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Third Season
The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until the third season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
Netflix announced recently that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Bentham. Bon Clay can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that character reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action show, unlike the source material and cartoon version.
This performer joins a number of new cast members who will portray the organization to life, including leader the main antagonist, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the ensemble as the monarch of Alabasta.
Though Bon Clay is a key figure of Baroque Works, the individual won’t appear until One Piece season 3. With the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this represents a notable change in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could suggest more adjustments to the story’s structure.
Escola’s blend of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the part. Besides their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.
The platform’s adapted One Piece program is due to premiere for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
