Ukraine has announced the start of mass production for an innovative domestically developed defensive UAV to enhance its air defences. Three initial producers have started manufacturing, with 11 more preparing to establish production lines, Ukrainian military officials announced this past Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Proven in Battlefield Conditions

The drones will be based on a nationally created technology called “Octopus” designed to intercept Iranian-made drones. The system has been tested in combat and proved effective “during nighttime, amid electronic warfare and flying low,” officials stated. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set a target of manufacturing as many as 1,000 defensive drones daily.
