Vince Zampella, Has Passed Away in a California Car Crash

Vince Zampella, who helped create the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in Los Angeles, California aged 55.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The renowned industry figure died after his car crashed and burst into flames on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, as reported by.

"This represents an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, those closest to him, and all those touched by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts stated.
